These rules must be followed by the letter. NO PARTICIPANT is exempted from these rules. This includes Gym Leaders, Elite Four and the Champion.

1. Any Pokémon that cannot be caught without the use of an event is prohibited. (i.e. Arceus, Jirachi, Deoxys, Shaymin, Darkrai, Mew, Celebi, Manaphy and Phione). Pokémon that are allowable (generally legendaries) are Moltres, Zapados, Articuno, Mewtwo, Entei, Suicune, Raikou, Ho-oh, Lugia, Registeel, Regirock, Regice, Latios, Latias, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Rotom (Just to clear the air), Regigigas, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Heatran, Giratina, and Cresselia.
2. Each trainer may only carry and battle with ONLY one legendary in their party.
3. Reaht League members may not have any legendary Pokémon on their team. (This includes the Champion)
4. If the any Champion is defeated his/her title is transferred to the victor. (Note that if the challenger uses a legendary and defeats the champion, they must replace the legendary with a different Pokémon.)
5. In order to challenge the Reaht League Elite Four, you must obtain all badges in the league. NO EXCEPTIONS.
6. No Pokémon past the 4th generation (Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum) Can be used in League Battles. (As of Monday, April 11th, 2011.)
7. Any challenger that wishes to battle any league member must make it aware to the public in a formal manner using the correct forum. Each league member will have their own forums.
8. Challengers can choose which of the 8 league gyms to start at. Once chosen, the gyms will rotate until all gyms have been challenged. For example, If a challenger chooses the 8th gym as their first challenge, the next gym they are required to challenge is the 1st gym.
9. All league members must post ALL battle results in their forum so that they can be recorded.
10. All battles will be done through WI-FI so Friend Codes are a must for all participants.
11. Threats, irrational trash talking, and bragging are unacceptable, and could result in a suspension or ban for ANY PARTICIPANT.
12. Most importantly, HAVE FUN! And remember this is just a game.
